A CASINO WILL DAMAGE OUR ECONOMY.
With competition from CT, RI, NY, and possibly NH, a Springfield casino will not be a destination casino but will rely on locals, removing money from the local economy and siphoning it off to Boston and Las Vegas.
NoCasinoSpringfield's Primary Election Guide:
NoCasinoSpringfield reached out to every major statewide candidate for office, and many local candidates for their views on casinos. A full guide based on those responses and public statements can be found here.

SPRINGFIELD VOTERS NARROWLY approved the referendum 57-43 (for reference, the town of Everett pass their referendum 83-17!). By showing our opposition, we can show the Mass Gaming Commission that the people of Western Mass don't want a casino in Greater Springfield just like West Springfield in their referendum.
